Google Funds Covid-19 Vaccination With $260M
Google has decided to support with $267.5 million for covid-19 vaccination. This won’t be only in US. As a matter of fact, the company will provide both ad grants and funds to vaccine education bodies and also direct governments on funds. Public health organization will be on the receiving end too.
Google’s goal here is to serve countries and communities that has been overlooked. And, those organizations will work directly with more than 500 community-based organizations serving “Latino, Black and rural communities.”
Google Health’s Chief, Karen DeSalvo has explained that the portion of the funding will go toward things like pop-up vaccination sites.
Taking things a step further, Virtual agent is been launched by Google as part of its Intelligent Vaccine Impact solution (IVIs). This will help people ask questions and also schedule vaccination appointments.
The agent will be available in 28 languages and dialects.
To ensure that IVIs is readily accessible, regardless of connectivity, it will be available in chat, text, web, mobile, or over phone calls.
