Sony plans on adapting PlayStation franchises for Mobile gaming

Mobile gaming and PlayStation are words that you wouldn’t say in the same sentence but Sony intends changing that.
The company posted a new job listing recently looking for a Head of Mobile for PlayStation studios. Though Sony isn’t saying all its plans for PlayStation in the mobile gaming space but it is sharing some details at least, including the types of responsibilities the role requires.

As of right now, PlayStation brand consists of few games and some companion apps. Sony’s PlayStation expansion focuses on popular concession.
With time, Sony’s plans for mobile will include a lot of things. But the main focus now, is on adapting PlayStation biggest franchises for mobile. 
In the job listing, Sony stated that every aspect of adapting PlayStation for mobile devices will be handled by the Head of Mobile.

Sony has no doubt seen how it’s lucrative bringing franchises into smartphones. Though the company hasn’t discussed any plans at the moment, for specific franchises.
However, it started clearly the Job of the Head of Mobile.
Here are the biggest franchises under PlayStation studios brand: Gran Turismo, Ghost of Tsushima, Uncharted, The Last of Us, God of War and a few others. Among all these, Uncharted and God of War are the two of the biggest.

Therefore, Sony plans for these game series is to make their way to iOS devices and Android in some form, in far future.
As a matter of fact, Uncharted mobile game is already available. Although, it hasn’t seen the kind of Success Sony is hoping to grab.
