Facebook Launches a Dedicated Shopping Section on Mobile
US users now have access to Facebook Shop; a new way to shop online.

Facebook is rolling out a distinct Facebook Shop section on its mobile app, making it easier to get online shopping done on-the-go. In addition, it also aims to expand its Shop features for both customers and retailers.
A New Shopping Experience Comes To Facebook
In May 2020, Facebook launched a new shopping feature, dubbed Facebook Shop. And now, in a post on About Facebook, the social network has announced it’s begun testing a dedicated Facebook Shop section on its mobile app in the US Like Instagram Shop, Facebook Shop is a destination that allows users to browse through a number of products and shop directly on a retailer’s page.
Not only is this convenient for users, it also gives retailers another avenue for revenue.

With the addition of Facebook Shops comes improved features and tools for retailers. Businesses will soon have access to new customization tools for their shops, including better design layouts for products and real-time previews when editing collections.Facebook will now allow users to contact sellers using Messenger, Instagram Direct, or WhatsApp, which is another sign that Facebook is merging its messaging services. The platform is also testing out a feature on Messenger and Instagram Direct that lets users view and buy products within messages.
A new notification popping up on Instagram users’ phones hints that Facebook Messenger and Instagram DMs are being merged together.
Lastly, Facebook has announced that it’s testing Live Shopping as well. This gives buyers the opportunity to purchase a product directly from a seller’s Facebook Live video.

After opening the app, hit the three horizontal bars in the top-right corner of the screen. Scroll down the menu until you see a section that says Shop. Click that, and you can begin browsing all of the products and shops available on Facebook.
