Make more money as a content creator on Facebook.

Facebook is doubling down on its role as a central marketplace for creators. From 2019 to 2020, over USD 10,000 was made by content creators monthly and it grew by 88%.

In a short while, creators will make even more than this year’s as Facebook introduces new means on the platform to monetize their work. Join us as we take a brief look at some of new means provided by Facebook.

Let’s begin with;

  • The short video monetization:

 Prior to now, only videos three minutes or longer could be monetized. Now? Creators are now allowed to earn revenues from short-form videos. Pre, mid, post roll and even image ads can be added to videos as short as a minutes.

We’re especially focused on short-form video monetization. In the coming weeks, we’ll begin testing the ability for content creators to monetize their Facebook Stories with ads that look like stickers and receive a portion of the resulting revenue,” the company said.

  • Live video ads:

The ability of creators to use ads in live videos is being expanded by Facebook. Previously, this program was invite-only. But now, content creators just need to have 60,000 live minutes viewed in the last 60 days. This could be combination of live, on-demand and saved live video.
