Samsung first showed off its prototype for a foldable device in 2011. While its first commercial folding phone wouldn’t launch until after 8 years, that first prototype was enough for people to start looking forward to the foldable phone era.
Now it’s finally here, two form factors are taking over the market; a clamshell design, like the Galaxy Z Flip3, and a book design, Z Fold3-style.
But what if there were more aside these? Samsung showed off some new foldable prototypes at CES 2022 in the form of its Flex S and Flex G panels and they’re looking so nice.
More About The New Samsung Foldables, Flex S and Flex G
Both the “S” and the “G” in the names has already given a hint at how these displays work. The Flex S is a tri-folding device that can be folded in and out in an “S” shape, which allows you to turn a smartphone sized device into a tablet.
Conversely, the Flex G is a little bit more compact. It is also tri-folding, but instead of outward, it folds inward in a “G” shape, giving both durability and portability advantages.
Either of them work for both compact and tablet-sized devices, and they both look so slick. Guess you’re already looking forward to the release of the phones.
We do not know when they’ll be launched but we’re expecting to see something really nice.

Amazing. Samsung has always been my best choice. I always prefer it over iPhone. My only concern for this foldables is that, wouldn’t they be too heavy and bulky? People always love compact but efficient devices.
