Have you ever wondered why iPhone Hidden Photos album and recently deleted album are not encrypted?
If something is said to be hidden, then definitely it should be encrypted and only accessible to the right person or owner.

iPhone silently added the Use face Id to view Hidden Photos and recently deleted albums on iOS 16.
Use face Id to view Hidden Photos and recently deleted albums
Previously, recently deleted and Hidden photos on iPhone usually don’t have any security, in the sense that, anyone can easily view the Hidden Photos album and also view the recently deleted folder without any passcode or face id security check.
Good thing is that iPhone devices running on iOS 16 as sighted by droidvilla, now get a security check pass using the Face ID feature to access all recently deleted photos/videos albums and also the Hidden Photos/videos album.
So now we can be proud to say iPhone Hidden Photos/videos albums and, also the recently deleted albums, are now encrypted, and only the owner of the phone can access these albums using their face ID security feature.
This feature was sighted on the latest iOS update which is the iOS16.1.
However, you can check to confirm if the feature is also available for your respected iOS version and devices.
If yours is available with a different iOS version and device, kindly share them using the comment section, so we could with time update the article with iOS versions that have the Use face Id to view Hidden Photos and recently deleted albums .
