Amazing : WhatsApp Now Allows More Beta Testers To Transfer Chats From Android To iOS 2022

It has never been a problem to move your WhatsApp account from one Android device to another or from one iPhone to another, but switching from Android to iPhone requires you to delete all of your stored Chat history and photos.

The messaging app, which is owned by Meta, declared it will remove this transfer chats restriction in the middle of June, enabling Android users to transfer their WhatsApp accounts to iPhones with all of their chat history intact. Even though it’s still in testing, the feature is coming live for a lot more testers this week.

Despite Meta’s June confirmation of the transfer chats from Android to iOS, WABetaInfo claims that the feature was initially only accessible in beta as an A/B test. The messaging giant is now making the tool accessible for other beta testers, perhaps after making sure everything functions as planned for a smaller group.

You’ll need an iPhone running iOS 15.5 or later and WhatsApp version 2.22.7.74 or later on an Android device running Lollipop or newer in order to get started. Both phones must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and you must install WhatsApp on the iPhone and Apple’s Move to iOS software on the Android phone.

You must choose the new checkbox for WhatsApp data on the Data Transfer page in Move to iOS and then follow the on-screen directions.

In addition to chat histories, your previous photographs, videos, and settings will be transferred over — however features like WhatsApp payments and call history will not be available on your iPhone.

If you decide to move back at some point, iPhone users shouldn’t have any issues switching their WhatsApp accounts to an Android device. Be patient if you are a WhatsApp beta tester and have not yet noticed this new feature.

Although this rollout is reportedly more broad than the last one, not everyone might receive it. This increased beta testing may, perhaps, be a sign that WhatsApp is about to include the function in the app’s stable release.
