The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro has received a new update. The update, which is rolling out globally now, brings the device onto the August 2020 set of Android security patches.
The latest Xiaomi update issued is strictly for the global version of the Redmi Note 8 Pro. The new software build, named V12.0.3.0.QGGMIXM, follows an equivalent update that Xiaomi released to the Russian version of the device last month. The global edition of the Redmi Note 8 Pro has already been upgraded to MIUI 12, but V12.0.3.0.QGGMIXM is another chance to download Xiaomi’s latest OS if you haven’t yet done so.
Following recent post on spotted on the Mi Community post, V12.0.3.0.QGGMIXM delivers the August 2020 set of security patch updates to the Redmi Note 8 Pro. Further informations from one user, there are still issues with regular and live wallpapers when in landscape mode, but this may be isolated to the stock launcher. Other than that, V12.0.3.0.QGGMIXM does not appear to break anything, as Xiaomi has been accustomed to doing with its Android One handsets this year.
