– Undiluted Blonde Netflix Review 2022 (Ana De Armas}
Ana De Armas is well known for her erotic roles, so it was not a hard choice to select her for the role as she also bears a striking resemblance to Marilyn Monroe, the sole reason for the movie.
Marilyn Monroe whose real name is Norma Jeane Mortensen was a popular name in Hollywood, her image and lifestyle often bring the narrative of a sex symbol to the mind, her elegant look, her near-perfect body, and her mesmerizing smile kept her in the spotlight for so long with series of controversies which was depicted in this movie.
Marilyn Monroe’s life story has sparked discussions and has also been the subject topic of so many biopics.
The Netflix drama takes its story of Marilyn Monroe from some pages of Joyce Carol Oates’s book, the book shed light on significant parts of the actress’ life, which are the famous history of a series of trauma and harassment she suffered at the hands of men.

Ana De Armas did a very good job in delivering such a fantastic performance, the movie did not really display her adversaries and how much she was trampled on by them rather it showed how courageous and unfazed she was and also how she navigated through her woes and overcame it.
The movie begins with Ana De Armas during her childhood in Los Angeles in the 1930s, her mother Gladys was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia a role played by Julianne Nicholson, while Marilyn Monroe lived with her but she was sent to the orphanage because of her mother’s diagnosis.
This was before she became a model and an actress, the movie doesn’t show the first marriage she had but it skips to the time she became an actress in Hollywood.
More About Blonde Netflix Review
Several obscene scenes like when she was raped by a studio executive during an audition. It was a part of the several traumas Marilyn faced during the course of her career, the movie also showed her marriage to joe di Maggio the ex-athlete, a role played by bobby Cannavale.
It also showed her marriage to the playwright Arthur miller, the role played by Adrien brody, by the time she became old enough, she adopted the name ‘Marilyn Monroe’.
At this point, the movie displayed Marilyn Monroe at her weak moments and several phases of emotional trauma she experienced.
This movie was really appealing in terms of aesthetics, the person behind the camera switching from black to white was one of the laudable moments of the movie, and Ana De Armas captured the attention of the viewers with her elegant smile and her eyes.
Ana De Armas played the role exceptionally and I am pretty sure Marilyn was proud of wherever she was.
However, the movie was filled with the nonstop trauma and abuse she encountered.
The director was smart enough to display the difference between Norma Jeane Mortensen and Marilyn Monroe as norma used the adopted personality of Marilyn as a cover-up to whatever she faced.
It is quite sad the director did not want to go deep into her story because of how complex it is, he has his reasons for it but we hope to be briefed on why he left out a lot of pieces because there are several traits that need exploration.
Nevertheless, the movie is very sorrowful to watch, as it showed how vulnerable Marilyn was and how much of a victim she was.
The director made sure to point out the reason for her numerous ill experiences with men, it is connected with the absence of her father in her life.
The movie focuses on Marilyn having the thought of her father coming to save her from trouble or come visit her, the absence of her father made her call her lovers Joe Di Maggio and Arthur miller ‘daddy’ because she needed that fatherly love.
As an innocent child looking for validation and assurance, the picture made sure to highlight the inappropriateness of this act because the main figure of this movie was not portrayed as an adult.
The movie also displays her having an abortion and there is also a scene when she is having a conversation with a fetus, it is really weird because this actually showed how much the suffering she endured at the hands of men started to take a serious toll on her personal life, and how exploitive it was at a very early age.
