A post was made on a renowned hacking community forum, it claims that there was a WhatsApp data breach and almost half a billion WhatsApp records have been breached and are ready to be sold.
Multiple sources have confirmed that the post might likely be true, it claims to have sold an up-to-date, 2022 database of 487 million mobile numbers used on WhatsApp, which contains data approximately from 84 countries.
What this means is that almost one-quarter of all WhatsApp estimated two billion monthly active users are possibly at risk.

WhatsApp Data Beach
Approximately more than 32 million of the leaked records are said to be from users in the US, with 11 million from UK users. Other affected nations include Italy (35 million) , Saudi Arabia (29 million), France (20 million) , Turkey ( 20 million) , Russia ( 10 million).
It obviously seems like the data of individual countries have risen, the dataset up for $7000, and British numbers up for a similar per-capita figure of $2,500.
Most importantly, it doesn’t look to be an empty promise that was designed to dis-organize the Meta-owned company, with almost 2,000 numbers shared in a sample request, which is to be verified by WhatsApp Users.
This is not the first time that WhatsApp has reached its peak for data security, and this might not be alone, the histories that one has been ridiculed with vulnerabilities and scams.
