Elon Musk says Starlink Would be made ‘fully mobile’ by the ending of the year 2021.

Mr.Elon Musk in a statement mentioned that SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet service would be fully mobile by the end of 2021.This development will allow customers to use it at any address or in a vehicle.

Elon Musk also said on Friday April 17th 2021 that Starlink could say bye to its beta as early as summer.

Over 10,000 people have signed up to Starlink right from when its “Better Than Nothing Beta” was launched in the month of October 2020.

During it’s beta, customers cannot take their hardware from address to address, rather  it could only be used where it was registered.

Recall that about a month ago Elon Musk had filed a request to the Federal Communications Commission Requesting for Starlink to go mobile, as this would allow customers to access the internet service in ships, planes and trucks with the exemption of Tesla cars, which aren’t big enough to carry a Starlink terminal.

Also in the request that was filed, David Goldman, who’s SpaceX’s director of satellite policy, had said that the expansion is going to serve the public’s interest and also allow operators and passengers to operate services that would enable an increased productivity.”

Elon Musk also stated in his tweet on Friday that the Starlink’s service uptime, bandwidth & latency are Getting better speedily. Recall that In February, Mr Musk had promised that Starlink internet speeds was going to double and that latency would drop by the end of the year 2021. An Insider had previously reported that all Starlink subscribers were accessing a faster internet than SpaceX had described.

It has also be observed that even in freezing temperatures, snow and winds with high intensity, that Starlink has hit speeds of 175 Mbps.

Note that SpaceX has launched over 1,300 Starlink satellites into orbit, and would eventually want up to 42,000 enveloping Earth.
