Since the long awaited Galaxy S21 FE launch is out of the way, the next big smartphone release is the Samsung S22 lineup. We’ve seen a lot of spec leaks of the device already but some details are elusive.
One such unconfirmed information is related with the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s memory where we were left to assume that it would be similar to S21. Now, that seems not to be the case According to a new leak.
The spec sheet published claims that the S22 Ultra will come with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM memory but no 16GB option like we saw on the S21 Ultra. That’s to say, Samsung will drop maximum RAM to 12GB while the base model will start at 8GB.
If you had the thought that Galaxy S22 Ultra would come with 1TB of storage, I’m sorry to say but it looks like that won’t be happening, either. Instead, just like its predecessor, the spec sheet shows the phone maxing out at 512GB.

Furthermore, the leak is not all doom and gloom as it reveals that the S22 Ultra main camera would come with a new feature called Super Clear Lens, this is to reduce glare in photos.
Though it’s for the primary camera and should use Gorilla Glass. The other camera details remain consistent with previous rumors: a 108MP F/1.8 main camera, a 12MP F/2.2 ultra – wide shooter, two 10MP telephoto cameras, and a 40MP selfie shooter.
The color options of the S22 Ultra remains similar to previous leaks which are white, black, olive green, and rose gold/burgundy. It seems like the bright red color we saw included in the early leaks won’t be available, at the launching of the phone at least.
Generally, the S22 Ultra remains a highly anticipated phone in 2022 and one of the most exciting but assuming this information actually pans out, reduced RAM will cause disappointment.
Lets hope that Samsung will somehow make up for this by pricing the device competitively.
