Good news hits Nokia Smartphone users today as Nokia’s Android 11 update rollout has started gaining pace gradually. After Android 11 has been installed in Nokia 8.3 5G and Nokia 3.2 in recent months, the company wants to extend it to Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 2.3. This has been announced through forum posts at Nokia community.

The Android 11 update for Nokia 8.1 will be unfolded in two waves. The first stage will cover users in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Singapore, Macau, Vietnam, India and Phillipines. However, this software will be available, first to 10 percent of the total number of Nokia 8.1 users in these territories.
Nokia hopes to cover 50 percent of the total user base, by April 10th. By April 12th, wave 1 unfolding should be completed. The company hasn’t said anything concerning the second wave of the Android 11 update.
The wave 2 is expected to cover the rest of the markets where the Nokia 8.1 is available

On the other hand, Nokia 2.3 will be treated similarly; in two waves. With wave 1 covering 18 countries which are Cambodia, Iceland, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Laos, Lithuania, Sweden, Macau, Nepal, Bangladesh, Norway, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
As expected, Nokia once again hopes to cover at least 10 percent in these territories immediately and the rollout will cover 50 percent of users by April 10th.
The details of the wave 2 of the Android 11 unfolding for Nokia 2.3 are unknown also.
According to the official roadmap of the company, Nokia has at least ten more models of phones waiting to receive Android 11.

However, if the company doesn’t live up to expectations, they may struggle to get buyers in years to come.
