Signal didn’t have a feature of changing your chat wallpaper. But after the announcement of WhatsApp new terms of services, the signal team thought it best to include it.
GROUP INVITE LINK
Signal has added the feature of inviting your friends to your group chat with your sharable group invite link. This also is a feature of WhatsApp.
MEDIA DOWNLOAD PREFERENCE
Signal has added the options of choosing how a media sent to your device should be downloaded automatically. Either through wifi or mobile data.
LOW DATA MODE
Low data mode has been implemented in signal messenger. This feature allows lower data usage during calls.
CONTACT ABOUT
Signal has added the feature of allowing people write their “about”. A status that is available on the user’s info page.
GROUP CALLS
Signal, before now has its group calls limit to 5 participant. But after the new terms of service of WhatsApp, the signal team increased the limit from 5 to 8 participants. That is the same as WhatsApp. Cool, right?
ANIMATED STICKERS
Signal now supports the usage and creation of stickers and also, the importation of stickers from a third party.
SUGGESTION OF CONTACTS
Signal now allows users to see your contacts on the iOS share sheet, this is a feature that has already been implemented on WhatsApp.
