For a while now WhatsApp has announced, through a blog post on their official website, the new group privacy setting and invite system.
Not forgetting this feature been made available mostly in India and finally we have news for other countries apart from India to expect this new feature.

In other to get this beta update, you are expected to have already updated to the latest update version. Just in case you don’t see the feature, you can as well consider to back up your chat history and reinstall WhatsApp, if you don’t want to wait any longer.
Note:
On every whatsapp reinstall, the most updated configurations from the server are downloaded, enabling the feature to work just for you.
GROUP PRIVACY SETTINGS
And as at yesterday WhatsApp is finally expanding their tests, rolling out the Group Privacy settings for a lot of iOS and Android users. This update and tets is indeed very necessary because many users were added in groups without their permission and this calls for a privacy settings on groups.
How To Manage Group Privacy Settings
- You can manage the Group Privacy settings opening WhatsApp Settings
- Account
- Privacy
- Groups
Opening this section, the user can choose which option to enable or Not!
Some group options and meaning:
- Everyone: the user can be always added in groups.
- No invites will be received privately.
- My Contacts: the user can be always added in groups from his contacts.
- He will receive an invite to join a group from people not in his contacts list, privately.
The blacklist feature:
You can precisely decide who cannot add you in group.
WhatsApp is currently rolling out the Group Privacy Settings and the Blacklist features for iOS and Android!
For those who hates to be added in groups can now simply select all contacts using the Select all option:
Note that
When a new contact is added in your address book, you must Select all contacts again to update Group privacy settings.

If the feature isn’t yet available for you, kindly wait for another update that will force the activation.
