The WhatsApp message disappearing feature literally just got cast in the recent update.
Millions of users are out there lamenting about the just updated WhatsApp message disappearing feature that has definitely gone out of its own concept.
WhatsApp is a messaging application that allows users to make voice and video chats over the internet, send and receive text messages, voice messages, images, videos, and documents. Brian Acton and Jan Koum created it in 2009, and Facebook eventually bought it in 2014. With more than 2 billion monthly active users as of 2021, it has grown to be one of the most widely used messaging apps worldwide and is free to use on both Android and iOS smartphones. WhatsApp includes features like end-to-end encryption for secure communications, the option to disclose your location, and the ability to publish status updates that vanish after 24 hours in addition to individual and group chats.
Remember when the WhatsApp disappearing feature was newly introduced, the disappearing message feature was aimed at protecting conversations between the two parties which is the sender and the receiver, to ensure sensitive information shared is automatically erased within 24hrs, or 7 days, depending on the disappearing timeframe the user sets it.

WhatsApp message disappearing feature cast
Droidvilla sees this new WhatsApp disappearing message feature update as a big NO, because then, what is the essence of turning on the disappearing message when I know it is limited to just me alone.
In essence, you just have to be careful while sending across sensitive information, knowing fully well the messages sent will not also disappear from the other end user.
However, we still see Snapchat messaging security as a perfect example of when something is meant to be private, and secure…
What do you actually think about the new update in regards to the disappearing message having disappeared just from the sender end after the time set is reached?
