Scrolling screenshots is one of the many new features Android 12 is bringing. This lets you to capture the entire screen in case you need the option.
That said, when Google’s latest major update was rolled out, Chrome for Android seem to not be in support of the update.
But now, Google has clearly stated to support it quietly on the browser, workout users having to enable it themselves.
More About The New Chrome’s Scrolling Screenshots
When a screenshot is taken while using Chrome Browser, it will show a “Capture More” button, just right next to the share and edit icons.
Once it’s been tapped on, you’ll get a fullscreen viewer where you can choose to capture more of your screen, scroll through the website or do whatever.
You’ll be able to edit, save and directly share wherever you want to share it to also.This update seem to be available in Chrome 98 latest version running on Android 12.
This is pretty much useful for those that would want to save webpages as images or scrolling screenshots rather than bookmark them and later on get back to them.
It also involves managing and capturing less images as previously, you’d take multiple screenshots to save those with longer pages.
Google is working on making the feature available system-wide and now finally, it has started rolling out to Android 12 users slowly.
For those that are still on Android 11, you’ll have to make do with old school screenshots for now.
While those that has Pixel devices running on Android 12 can check if the scrolling screenshots is already working.
