Some Interesting Netflix, Disney, Apple TV, and Amazon Series To Watch

If you’re like me, you probably already have a list of shows that you want to watch all year.

Then there are the movies that I’ve been waiting for a discount to rent.

But where to start? Well, here’s the answer – let’s start with this list.

If there are any movies or shows on this list that you haven’t seen yet, put down your phone, stop wrapping those last goodies, and put them in your box.

If you haven’t hit anything else in 2022, at least you’ve seen the best streaming shows.

Here Are Some Interesting Netflix, Disney, Apple TV, and Amazon Series To Watch

1. Invention of Anna

Disney
Invention of Anna

Shonda Rhimes’ dramatization of Anna Sorokin/Delvey’s incredible journey into New York’s elite is a must-see in 2022.

She’s tricked everyone or the ultra-wealthy just want to believe she’s one of them?

Julia Garner is brilliant as Anna, while Anna Chlumsky is perfect as a journalist trying to revive her career with history.

All 9 episodes are available now on Netflix.

2. Wednesday

Apple Tv
Wednesday

A series that follows the Adams family daughter as she starts school can seem a bit lengthy, until you see her created by none other than Tim Burton.

And if that wasn’t enough, the film stars Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Gwendoline Christie, and Christina Ricci with Jenna Ortega, as Wednesday itself.

In just three weeks, the series became a hit, giving way to cosplay, dance, and more TikTok videos.

You should watch it just to know what everyone is talking about, but stick with it because it’s a great TV show.

All 8 episodes are now on Netflix

3. Andor

Andor
Andor

Recently, the fallout from the Star Wars universe has been mixed, but Andor has so far been a sight to behold.

This isn’t a Star Wars movie for your kids – no lightsaber fights here – it’s a story about political struggle.

It’s dark, gritty, and the perfect prequel to an equally excellent spin-off – Rogue One.

Diego Luna plays Cassian Andor in his journey to becoming the rebellious hero we see in Rogue One.

Here, knowing the outcome does not detract from the action.

All 12 episodes are available now on Disney Plus.

4. Severance

Amazon
Severance

This is still my show of the year, and while it may not be to everyone’s taste, it’s beautifully shot, has great actors, and is really funny – in a bit of a dark way.

The premise of Seriousnce was that a company called Lumon Enterprises had devised a way for its employees to completely divide their work and personal lives.

A minor procedure means that when they are in the office, the workers know nothing about their outside life (or outie), and when they are gone, they know nothing about their job.

Is this a sane way to prevent one from interfering with the other, or a clever way to hide what’s really going on in the Macro Data Refinement department?

The film stars Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation, Party Down) as the hardworking Mark S and has a great cast, including Christopher Walken and Patricia Arquette.

All 9 episodes are available now on Apple TV Plus.

5. Boys (Season 3)

Netflix
Boys (Season 3)

Season 3 of The Boys is out this summer, but if you haven’t seen the first two, you have even more great TVs in store.

Commercialized superheroes are loved by the public but it turns out they are far from perfect, It’s definitely an adult superhero show.

In this season, we will see the consequences of Homelander’s relationship with Stormfront. He is a spoiled man and even more twisted than before.

Karl Urban plays Billy Butcher, the equally flawed leader of The Boys, as they now take on the official mission of catching problematic Supers for the Superhero Affairs Bureau.

It was dark, horrible but fun, watch all 8 episodes on Amazon Prime Video now

6. Top Gun: Maverick

Netflix
Top Gun: Maverick

There have been some great movies in 2022, from the wildly goofy Jackass Forever to Baz Luhrmann’s out-of-the-box Elvis.

But if there’s one movie you just need to watch, it’s this one.

Okay, so it may not be the best movie ever made, but it has all the elements you need for a truly entertaining watch.

It should come as no surprise that stunts are awe-inspiring – especially since Tom Cruise does most of those stunts himself.

There are some heartbreaking moments, great soundtrack and lots of fast action on the plane.

You will be punched and high-fived by the credits.

Top Gun: Maverick is available to rent or purchase on multiple movie platforms including Apple TV, Amazon, Google Play, and free on Paramount+
