WhatsApp Beta 22.23.0.73 Version For iOS Has New Updates.
WhatsApp recently submitted a new update through the TestFlight beta Program , which has brought the version up to 22.23.0.73. The version marked within WhatsApp settings is 2.22.34.73 and the TestFlight build is 22.23.0 (414985529).
The exciting thing about this update is that WhatsApp is working on editing messages, for a future update of the app.
The name of the feature is Editing messages , and it’s currently under development. WhatsApp is working tirelessly to bring this feature to a future update of the app.
Since this feature is under development, it is obviously not ready to be released to beta testers.
WhatsApp is also releasing the ability to forward images, videos, GIFs, and documents, with a caption.

Several months ago, a feature was released that will enable users to edit messages on WhatsApp beta for Andriod, a feature under development.
We also discovered the same feature during the development of WhatsApp Desktop beta two months ago and there has been positive news about the iOS app today. It has been stated that WhatsApp is working on bringing the same feature for a future update of the iOS beta app!
As can be seen in this screenshot, the edit message feature action shows up within the context menu when the feature will be released later on.
All edited messages will be marked with the “Edited” label within the chat bubble. To add to that WhatsApp will offer users a maximum of 15 minutes to edit their text messages after being sent.
Since this is the first version of editing messages, it will only be possible to edit text messages because editing the caption for images, documents and videos, is not currently supported but we can expect an improved version of the feature before the release.
The ability to edit messages will be released subsequently in an updated version of the app, to some beta testers. Since this feature is under development, there is no official release date for this feature. However an article will be published as soon as the updates are released.
