Instagram is rolling out a new feature that allows users to pin up to three posts to their profile. You can now pin up to three posts to the top of your Instagram profile, with the remaining six spots reserved for your most recent posts. This article will walk you through the process of how to pin photos, videos, or reels to your Instagram story.
Steps to Pin Posts to Your Instagram Profile
In the Instagram app, go to your profile. Select the post you want to pin to your profile by tapping the vertical three dots icon in the top-right corner. From the pop-up menu that appears, select “Pin to your profile.”
Instagram will now add the post to your profile, making sure that it is visible to everybody who visits your profile. Open an Instagram post and click the vertical three dots icon once more to unpin it.
Then, choose “Unpin from profile.” If all of the pinned posts are removed, your feed will switch back to its prior chronological order. Pinned posts are accessible to both you and the public, and they will have a visual pin icon in the top right corner to signify that you have pinned them.
Navigate your profile using the Instagram app. Long-press and hold on a picture to view the “Pin to Profile” option in the pop-up menu, or click the horizontal three dots menu then choose “Pin to your profile.”
On iOS, open a previously pinned post and press the horizontal three dots menu to unpin it. Long-press and hold on a post to see the “Unpin from Profile” option, or long-press and hold on a post to see the “Unpin from Profile” option. On your iPhone, this is the simplest way to delete pinned photographs and videos from your Instagram profile.
And that is how you can pin your Instagram photos, videos, and reels to the top of the page. Remember that you can only pin three photos, videos, or reels at a time because adding a fourth photo or movie will overwrite the oldest pinned post.
