Poco is expanding into global markets with its C-series. The brand announced the global launch date for the Poco C40 on Twitter on June 16. The Poco C40 has been in the news for a while, and the brand recently confirmed the device’s name in a community forum post.
The upcoming Poco C40 will be an entry-level smartphone and Poco’s most affordable device to date for global markets. Poco has begun revealing some of the key specifications of its upcoming C-series handset ahead of the launch.
The brand has confirmed via social media teasers that the upcoming Poco C40 will have a 6000mAh battery unit. Poco has also revealed the back panel design of the upcoming handset, which will feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, according to a teaser.
Recently, an official-looking banner for the online launch of a new Poco C40 phone surfaced online. It is expected that the new model will be unveiled on June 16.
Specifications for the Poco C40
The PocoC40, model number 220333QPG, was previously discovered on the NBTC certification website. The Poco C40 has the same model number as the Redmi 10C. (known as Redmi 10 in India). For those who are unfamiliar, the Redmi 10C Global model number is 220333QAG.
The PocoC40 hasn’t been mentioned in many rumors yet, but it does have one major leak that suggests it could be a rebranded Xiaomi Redmi 10C (Global), which shares most of its specs with the Redmi 10. (India).
Despite their similar appearances, the phones have minor differences, and we believe the Poco C40 should be based on the Redmi 10 (India), which is arguably the better choice of the two due to its larger 6,000 mAh battery.
Aside from that, the PocoC40 is expected to have a 6.7-inch basic HD+, 60Hz LCD display with a teardrop notch for a 5MP selfie camera. The rest of its alleged camera setup consists of a 50MP, f/1.8 main camera and a 5MP depth sensor.
The PocoC40 hasn’t been mentioned in many rumors yet, but one significant leak claims it could be a rebranded Xiaomi Redmi 10C (Global), which shares the majority of its specifications with the Redmi 10. (India).
