According to popular reports, WhatsApp’s newest beta release (version 2.22.4.4) displays evidence of dynamism to how a user can send media files. Currently, as soon as you click the “camera” button while  messaging someone, and scroll up, the app will show all the newest images and videos on your phone. Finding older media files can be a taunting and tricky, confirm from the screen. In order to do this, you also need to click on the attachment button and then choose to open the gallery. With this updated feature, just clicking the “camera” button and swiping up will show you both the newest and trending tabs. You can now choose single or multiple media files to share.

The media picker feature is still under construction, so you might not be able to use it immediately, even on the web version. A working version is expected to emanate from the near future, as well. WhatsApp is also trying on a few more updates, like the a feature that will enable users to import chat history from Android to iOS smartphones as well.
