MIUI 13.5 : The List Of Xiaomi Smartphones That Will Not Recieve The Amazing MIUI 13.5 Update

Before we hop into the MIUI 13.5, after launching MIUI 13 in China last December alongside the Xiaomi 12s, the Chinese company began sending out the upgrade to global markets in early March.

As a reminder, the upgrade included additional widget customization components, improved personal data security, a faster and smoother interface, and, most importantly, improved tablet compatibility.

It appears that the next version — MIUI 13.5 – is already available. Xiaomi recently released a special version of MIUI 13 designed for foldable smartphones, and the company is now ready to release MIUI 13.5, a new version with a slew of new features.

New animations, news icons, UI components, and a redesigned Control Center are among them. There are also several software upgrades, such as improved battery management and performance.

Xiaomi will, unfortunately, forsake some smartphones, like it does with every update. For example, the popular Mi 9 series and the Redmi Note 8 series will have to make do with MIUI 13. According to Xiaomiui, the following is a complete list of smartphones that will not receive MIUI 13.5.

MIUI 13.5 : Devices That Aren’t Supported

MIUI 13.5 : Devices That Aren’t Supported
  • Mi 9 / 9 SE / 9 Lite / 9 Pro
  • Mi 9T / Mi 9T Pro
  • Mi-CC9 / Mi CC9 Meitu
  • Redmi K20 / K20 Pro / K20 Pro Premium
  • Redmi Note 8 / Note 8T / Note 8 Pro
  • Redmi-9A / 9AT / 9i / 9C
  • POCO C3 / C31

While it’s sad that these devices are no longer getting official updates, it’s time to let them go. The operating system gets more and more dependent on the Android version with each new MIUI skin update, and because these devices run the older Android 11 version, it becomes increasingly difficult to adapt new features to this outdated Android base, which is why support was removed.

As a result, the list of qualifying smartphones is significantly longer, and it covers all of Xiaomi’s, Redmi’s, and Poco’s most current smartphones and tablets. Xiaomi’s smartphone series 12, 11, and 10 are among them. The complete list of devices that will receive the update can be found here.
