It’s been shared that a new option will now be seen on Google Play Store to filter results when searching for an app. On the top left corner of the screen, when you tap the search button, you’ll see a green button that reads “This device”.

After tapping on the button, you’ll be shown list of all the devices that are linked to your Google account. The list of devices you’ll be shown are those that are signed in to the same Google account you’re currently viewing on your Google Play Store.

Though if you have multiple Google IDs, it’s only those that are in your current account that you’ll see. However, the default option will show apps that are available for your phone.

Only apps that are supported on the TV will be displayed If you tap on Android TV. This may seem like a minor change to make but it is something that’s important for users with multiple devices.

The option to choose which device to install an app in has been available for the Google Play Store on the web. Now smartphone users will start seeing it on the Play Store app together with a server-side update.
